Atlas Tennis December Press Release

Backed by influential and experienced minds in the tennis world, Atlas Tennis seeks to give teenage tennis players of different levels the chance to go on tour, playing tournaments, training, and experiencing life abroad on one of their summer itineraries.

NEW YORK, N.Y.—Atlas Tennis has today announced the launch of their company, founded with the mission of positively changing the lives of participants through tennis, travel, and human connections.  The inaugural trips will depart for Europe in summer 2024.  Each trip will bring teenage tennis players to different European countries to train, compete in tournaments, sightsee at some of the world’s most iconic destinations, and connect with locals through the sport.  Applications to enroll are now open.

The life of a traveling tennis player is deeply personal for the founders of Atlas Tennis, all of whom have built successful careers in the tennis world through their own experiences in the top levels of the worldwide sport. Founding Partners Eric Butorac, Megan Moulton-Levy, Sam Duvall, and Andrew Chmura, along with Director of Atlas Tennis Ben Shapiro have all been deeply embedded in the international world of tennis for decades, making the launch of Atlas both the start of something completely new while also the culmination of many years of experience.

Director of Atlas Tennis Ben Shapiro compared the excitement of the company’s launch to the eager, anxious anticipation of a big match.

“I know I speak for the team when I say that today, as we embark on this adventure, we are full of anticipation and extremely excited and ready for it,” said Shapiro, who is running the day to day operations of the company. “We’ve all played and traveled enough to know that it’s those types of emotions that can lead to the most meaningful, rewarding experiences—which is exactly what we want to provide for our players.”

“Success for us is simple. We want to take people on our trips, give them the experience of a lifetime, and have them come home as better tennis players and having grown through their experience with us.”

Atlas Tennis’ first trips are scheduled to depart June 22, 2024 and run through mid-July. Destinations include France, Spain, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and more.
