The French Trip
Prepare, then perform. This new competition-focused itinerary pairs a week of intensive training with two weeks of packed tournament play in France, giving players everything they need to compete at their best and return home a more resilient, well-rounded player.
Week One: Academy Training
The trip kicks off with a week of training with some competitive match play as well. This week will either take place in the Costa Brava of Spain, the South of France, or in Sweden. We'll decide as soon as possible, based on the tournament schedule in France.
Weeks Two and Three: Tournament Play in France
France has one of the best tournament structures in the world, with more tournaments per capita than anywhere else on earth. Our players will get the chance to compete in multiple tournaments, receiving feedback from our coaches and balancing the competition days with focused training.
In addition to tennis, we'll have time to explore the natural and cultural beauty of France. We're still determining where in France we'll be centered for this trip—either the French Riviera or the mountains of Annecy.
Prior tournament experience strongly recommended. Final details are still being confirmed.
Includes accommodations, all transportation within Europe, court and tournament fees, coaching, breakfasts and dinners, sightseeing, and 24/7 staff supervision. Flights to and from Europe are not included.
Level
Recommended UTR of 4.0 to 10.0
Start / End
We'll fly to/from NYC, but players can also fly directly to Europe and meet us there.

Planning the Journey — Good Things to Know
Prepare like a Pro
Team Size & Age
The group is always small — typically no more than 16 players total. Players are between 14 and 18 years old.
Coaches
Our staff are mainly current or former college coaches, and they bring a wealth of tennis, travel, and team-building knowledge and experience.
Training & Tournaments
Train at top facilities, experience the charm of French tennis clubs, and see what it's like to compete in different countries.
A Taste of College
An Atlas trip provides a feel of what college tennis is like, from the sense of independence, the way our practices are run, and the team camaraderie!
Travel
We use planes to travel between countries, and a mix of vans and trains to get around day to day. And of course, some walking too.
Meals
Breakfast and dinner are included in the trip cost. Lunch and additional snacks are at the players' expense, to allow for additional flexibility.
Sightseeing
We're traveling to some of the most iconic destinations in the world—we make sure to explore! Each week, we schedule dedicated sightseeing time.
Accommodations
We always stay in safe, clean, and comfortable hotels or apartments that are centrally located. Players always have their own bed and rooms are always single-gender.
Your Questions
Answered
Three weeks. Two countries. High performance training and tournament play in premier tennis destinations.
We know sending your child to Europe for three weeks is a big decision. From how much tennis they will play to where they will stay, how they will travel, and how we keep players safe, we have answered the questions families ask most.

How competitive is this trip? What level of tennis do I need?
This trip is designed for players looking to gain competitive experience that can help them when they return home. Our recommendation is a minimum UTR of 4, with at least some prior tournament experience. We expect this trip to be among our most competitive given the emphasis on tournament play. If you are unsure whether your level is the right fit, reach out to the Atlas Tennis team and talk it through.
What is included in the price — and what is not?
The price covers all accommodations, transportation within Europe besides select public transit where an individual contactless card is needed, court and tournament fees, coaching, breakfasts and dinners (except on select travel days), sightseeing, and 24/7 staff supervision.
Not included: flights to and from Europe, daily lunch, souvenirs, passport and visa fees, laundry, and any optional extras outside the planned itinerary.
What do I need to know about traveling to and from Europe?
The trip departs from and returns to New York, with Atlas coaches on board the group flight. Players also have the option to meet us directly in Europe—speak with us directly to learn more. We handle all transportation once in Europe — flights, vans, and trains. Exact flight details are shared with families well ahead of departure.
What are meals and accommodations like on this trip?
We stay in safe, comfortable, clean hotels, usually with 2 or 3 players per room. Players always have their own bed, rooms are always single gender, and our coaches are always staying at the same location—players will know what room coaches are in, in case they ever need anything. We select our hotels based on past experience as well as taking into consideration the location of the tennis clubs where we'll be playing.
Breakfast and dinner are included daily (aside from travel days). We usually will have breakfast at the hotel or at a cafe nearby. For dinner, we may eat as a big group at a restaurant, have meals at the tennis clubs (most have full restaurants), or break off into smaller groups as well.
We are happy to accommodate allergies and dietary needs — just let us know.
What does a typical day look like between practice, tournaments, and sightseeing?
It varies by week. During tournament stretches in the South of France, days center around matches and practice at the local club, with time to connect with the local players — in France that often means tennis, soccer, and the club pool or nearby sea.
Every stop also builds in time to explore: Stockholm, the beaches along the French Riveria, the towns of Menton and Cannes, and a day trip to Monaco.
What are Atlas Tennis's policies on phones and staying in touch?
Players can use their phones to stay in touch with family — most US carriers work easily overseas, and WiFi is available at clubs, accommodations, and most places we visit. Our coaches and directors are always reachable if a question or concern comes up. The only times we ask players not to use phones are when we are on the court, when we're walking somewhere, and during meals.
How does Atlas Tennis handle safety across three countries?
Safety is our top priority on every leg of the trip. We only travel to well-established, safe destinations, staff every trip with at least one male and one female coach who are present 24/7, and stay in close contact with trusted local hosts at each stop.
If a player gets sick or hurt, we never hesitate to seek out medical attention in any location, whether that's at a hospital, doctor's office, or pharmacy.
What is the application process, and how do I lock in a spot?
If you are ready to apply, please submit our Player Application. From there, we'll review everything, speak with the player references, and then follow up with next steps (usually within a few days) to lock in the spot with a deposit.
