Explore France and Italy
Late June – Mid July 2025
Itinerary:
New York > Italy > France > New York
New for 2025, Atlas Tennis will be bringing players to two of the strongest tennis nations in the world, France and Italy.
More details and our exact itinerary will be coming soon, once we get tentative confirmation on the 2025 summer tournament schedules, but we expect this trip to be an incredible experience for players looking to soak in as much tennis and culture as possible.
France is legendary for it’s tournament circuits and national rating system—it’s what Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) is based on. Each player receives a rating or “classement” which determines the round of the tournament where they begin playing, meaning stronger players enter the draw after several rounds have already been played between players with a weaker rating. As a result, matches tend to be very even with relatively few mismatches and blowouts.
For our players, their UTR, WTN, and other results from back home will be used to assign them an equivalent classement, so they’ll be able to get competitive matches regardless of their level.
French tournaments are also often organized in conjunction with other nearby events, so that local clubs will have events going on concurrently—meaning players get even more matches in a relatively compact schedule—perfect for our trips!
In Italy, we’ll get a taste as to why there have been so many Italians having an impact in pro tennis over the past several years. 10-15 years ago, the Italian Tennis Federation invested heavily in hosting as many events as possible, from local draws to ITF, Challenger, and Tour Level tournaments.
By providing players with so many opportunities to play at home, the sport has risen in popularity, and as a result, not only are we seeing players like Sinner, Paolini, Musetti, and Cobolli having incredible success, there is also a vibrancy and energy around the sport in Italy that we’ll have the chance to be a part of.
Off the court, our trip to France and Italy will also allow for incredible cultural experiences as well. We will soon determine which regions we’ll be in, knowing that there are no bad options, and we also plan to visit the capital cities of Rome and Paris—two cities that speak for themselves!
