Clay Court Prep Trip

We know how important it is for junior players to compete at USTA National Clay Courts. That’s why we created the Clay Court Prep trip—not only so that players interested in an Atlas Trip don’t have to sacrifice playing Clays, but so that they can head into it sharper than ever after some high level tournaments on the European red clay.
We’ll start by flying to Barcelona to practice on red clay before getting started with a tournament run by Tennis Planet, an organization that runs junior events throughout Spain. The matches will count for UTR and the draws are typically filled with strong Spanish juniors, many of whom have their own aspirations of being recruited to play college tennis in the US.
During the week, we’ll also arrange friendly matches with other players in the tournament to ensure our group is getting plenty of competitive experience.
While in Spain, in addition to training and competing on the red clay, we’ll have the chance to explore Barcelona and see major sights like La Sagrada Familia and Las Ramblas, as well as opportunities to enjoy the wonderful Mediterranean beaches.
From Spain, we’ll fly to Amsterdam and head to the nearby city of Hilversum for the ITF J30 Tournament, featuring players from around the world. The event brings many high level juniors together for an excellent week of competition on the red clay in one of the friendliest and most welcoming tennis countries in the world.
Our week in The Netherlands will also feature some time exploring Amsterdam and its canals, historic sites, museums, and rich, vibrant street life.
Once the week in Hilversum wraps up, players will fly back to the US in advance of USTA Clay Courts, or have the option of joining another Atlas Tennis trip in the United Kingdom for the opportunity to watch a day of tennis at Wimbledon, and if preferred, spend an additional week in Europe training and competing.
