The Bucket List Trip

Our number one request from players and their families is always the same: Wimbledon. So we built a trip around it. Three weeks, three countries — a full day at Wimbledon during the early rounds, grass court training in London, tournament weeks on red clay in Spain, and a final stretch of match play in the Netherlands.

Between the tennis: Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, La Sagrada Familia, the beaches of Costa Brava, and the canals of Amsterdam. Players travel with our coaches and directors from the moment they land to the moment they fly home.

Planning the Journey — Good Things to Know

Prepare like a Pro

Team Size & Age

The group is always small — no more than 16 players total. Players are between 14 and 18 years old.

Coaches

Our staff are mainly current or former college coaches, and they bring a wealth of tennis, travel, and team-building knowledge and experience.

Training & Tournaments

Each itinerary maximizes opportunities to face new competition in tournament and training settings against players at a similar level to our groups. Play and compete on grass courts and red clay.

Meet Pro Players

Get the chance to attend Wimbledon and meet some of the stars of the game.

Travel

We use planes, trains, buses, and vans to get around. And of course, some walking around cities, too.

Meals

We provide a nutritious breakfast and dinner for players. Lunch and select meals are not included in the trip cost.

Sightseeing

Explore iconic landmarks and activities like Big Ben in London, La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, and a canal cruise in Amsterdam.

Accommodations

We typically stay in comfortable hotels to ensure our players are safe and well rested. Occasionally we will also use university housing or other options.

Atlas Tennis Bucket List Trip team on a grass court in London
How competitive is this trip? What level of tennis do I need?

The Bucket List Trip is open to all levels of players who want a high-volume, high-level summer of tennis. Between tournament weeks in Spain and the Netherlands and daily practices, you will be training and competing against strong European juniors on red clay. If you are unsure whether your level is the right fit, reach out to Ben directly to talk it through.

What is included in the $11,999 price — and what is not?

The price covers all accommodations, transportation within Europe, court and tournament fees, coaching, breakfasts and dinners (except on select travel days), sightseeing, and 24/7 staff supervision.

Not included: flights to and from Europe, daily lunch, souvenirs, passport and visa fees, laundry, and any optional extras outside the planned itinerary.

What do I need to know about traveling to and from London, Barcelona, and the Netherlands?

The trip departs from and returns to New York, with Atlas coaches on board. Players also have the option to meet us directly in Europe. We handle and book all transportation once in Europe — flights, vans, and trains. Exact flight details are shared with families well ahead of departure.

What are meals and accommodations like on this trip?

Lodging shifts based on location — hotels, apartments, and dorms selected for safety, cleanliness, and location. Players always have their own bed and only room with teammates of the same gender.

Breakfast and dinner are included daily (aside from travel days). We are happy to accommodate allergies and dietary needs — just flag them on your application.

Will we really get to see Wimbledon and meet pro players?

Yes — it is the whole reason this trip exists. We spend a full day at Wimbledon watching early-round matches on courts across the grounds. Past groups have met and talked with pros like Marcos Giron and Cam Norrie. While nothing is guaranteed, our connections in the pro tennis world make these moments a real possibility.

What does a typical day look like between practice, tournaments, and sightseeing?

It varies by week. During tournament stretches in Barcelona and Leiden, days center around matches and practice at the local club. In London, we mix grass court practice with sightseeing at spots like Big Ben, Tower Bridge, and Buckingham Palace.

Every stop also builds in time to explore — canals in Amsterdam, a tour of La Sagrada Familia, the beach along Costa Brava, and the cities in between.

What are Atlas Tennis's policies on phones and staying in touch?

Players can use their phones to stay in touch with family — most US carriers work easily overseas, and WiFi is available at clubs, accommodations, and most places we visit. Our coaches and directors are always reachable if a question or concern comes up.

How does Atlas Tennis handle safety across three countries?

Safety is our top priority on every leg of the trip. We only travel to well-established, safe destinations, staff every trip with at least one male and one female coach who are present 24/7, and stay in close contact with trusted local hosts at each stop.

If a player gets sick or hurt, we will get them care right away and stay with them the entire time.

What is the application process, and how do I lock in a spot?

Start with our interest form — from there, we will follow up with next steps, including references and a conversation with our team to make sure this trip is the right fit. Given the itinerary (Wimbledon week alone tends to fill up fast), we would recommend applying as early as possible.
