Atlas Tennis Signature Summer
June 28 to July 18 (20 Days) 2025
Itinerary:
New York > Blanes, Spain (Barcelona) > Zeist, Netherlands (Amsterdam) > Geneva, Switzerland > New York
2025 we will return to some incredible European destinations on our upgraded Atlas Tennis Signature Summer trip.
We start by flying to Barcelona and heading up the magnificent Costa Brava to the town of Blanes, where we’ll be based for our first week. We’ll stay at a hotel right on the beach, train at the local club 5 minutes away, and compete in a Catalan Tennis Federation tournament in town. During the week, we’ll have the chance to connect with the local players from the club, who are always excited to hang out with us and play tennis, soccer, and swim in the club’s huge pool.
We’ll also spend a day exploring the most famous sights of Barcelona, including La Sagrada Familia, Las Ramblas, and Parc Guell.
Throughout the week, there will be endless chances for our players to practice their Spanish and get immersed in the rich Spanish culture, including trying many of the famous local dishes like paella, Iberian ham, and Patatas Bravas.
After Spain, we’ll fly to Amsterdam and travel to the idyllic town of Zeist for our second tournament at the beautiful Shot Zeist club. This club, and tournament, are special. The club features 12+ beautiful red clay courts, 9 padel courts, a gorgeous clubhouse with a full restaurant, and a peaceful setting nestled in the woods just 5-10 minutes from the center of town, where we will stay at a beautiful local hotel with some of the biggest rooms you’ll see at a European hotel.
The Zeist tournament attracts players from all over the country, including some that camp in tents on the grounds of the club, creating an incredible environment for players. The tournament format is such that draws are created based on playing level, meaning players are likely to have competitive matches. In 2024, almost every player on our trip ended up in at least one three-set battle! Players will get the chance to play both singles and doubles during the week in addition to daily practices, making our week in Holland an amazing chance to get a ton of time on the court.
Besides the tournament, there will be time to explore downtown Zeist and travel to the nearby historic city of Utrecht, a lively college town only 20 minutes away. And we’ll also visit Amsterdam to tour the famous canals and see the iconic Rijksmuseum.
Our third and final week brings us to the breathtaking Alps for an unforgettable week of tennis in the mountains. We have day trips planned to Chamonix, France for tennis in perhaps the most beautiful tennis club in the world (see photo above!), and to Gstaad, Switzerland to watch the ATP 250 tournament. In 2024, we got to watch Berrettini, Tsitsipas, Wawrinka, and Gasquet, and even got to meet and get pictures with Berrettini! We’ll also likely spend time in Verbier, Switzerland—a quintessential Swiss ski town that happens to have five clay courts in the center of town. In 2024, we spent a day competing against local players and coaches, many of whom were current or future US college players.
After our week in the Alps, we’ll fly home back to the US from Geneva to wrap up an incredible 3-week journey.
