Signature Summer
Our most popular trip! Three weeks across Spain, the Netherlands, and Switzerland — tournaments on red clay, daily training at local clubs, and unforgettable scenery from the beach, forests, and mountains.
We start on the Costa Brava outside of Barcelona, training in the town of Blanes, where our host club welcomes us each summer and our players quickly connect with the locals. After a busy week of tournaments, sightseeing, and beach time, we head to the Netherlands. We compete at the beautiful Shot Zeist club in the town of Zeist—this tournament is an Atlas favorite! The draws are organized by playing level, so every player gets competitive matches. We finish in the Swiss Alps: clay courts in Verbier, a day at the ATP Swiss Open in Gstaad, and swimming in Lake Geneva. This is the dream summer tennis trip in Europe!
Includes accommodations, all transportation within Europe, court and tournament fees, coaching, breakfasts and dinners, sightseeing, and 24/7 staff supervision. Flights to and from Europe are not included.

Planning the Journey — Good Things to Know
Prepare like a Pro
Team Size & Age
The group is always small — typically no more than 16 players total. Players are between 14 and 18 years old.
Coaches
Our staff are mainly current or former college coaches, and they bring a wealth of tennis, travel, and team-building knowledge and experience.
Training & Tournaments
Players compete in multiple draws in Spain and the Netherlands at official tournaments, gaining valuable match experience, in addition to daily practices.
Meet Pro Players
We spend a day at the ATP Swiss Open in Gstaad. Past groups have watched Ruud, Berrettini, Tsitsipas, and Wawrinka, getting the chance to meet and talk to some of them!
Travel
We travel between countries by plane, and mainly use vans to get around each week. And of course, some walking too.
Meals
Breakfast and dinner are included in the trip cost. Lunch and additional snacks are at the players' expense, to allow for additional flexibility.
Sightseeing
La Sagrada Familia and Las Ramblas in Barcelona, the canals and Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, the picturesque town of Utrecht, and exploring the unmatched Swiss Alps.
Accommodations
We always stay in safe, clean, and comfortable hotels or apartments that are centrally located. Players always have their own bed and rooms are always single-gender.
Your Questions
Answered
Three weeks of tournaments, training, and sightseeing. This is the quintessential Atlas trip!
We know choosing to spend your summer with us is a big decision. From how much tennis we play, to where we stay, and how we keep players safe, we have answered the questions families ask most.

How competitive is this trip? What level of tennis do I need?
The Signature Summer Trip is open to players with at least some competitive experience, whether in tournaments or school tennis. Most tournaments we play organize draws by level, so players are matched against similar competition rather than thrown into an open draw. In the past, all our players have gotten close matches, whether their UTR was a 10, a 2, or somewhere in between. If you are unsure whether your level is the right fit, we're happy to chat more.
What is included in the price, and what is not?
The price covers all accommodations, transportation within Europe except occasional public transit where individual contactless cards are required, court and tournament fees, coaching, breakfasts and dinners (except on select travel days), sightseeing, and 24/7 staff supervision.
Not included: flights to and from Europe, daily lunch, souvenirs, passport and visa fees, laundry, and any optional extras outside the planned itinerary.
What do I need to know about traveling to and from Europe?
The trip departs from and returns to New York, with Atlas coaches on board. Players also have the option to meet us directly in Europe. We fly into Barcelona and home from Geneva, and we handle and book all transportation once in Europe — flights, vans, and trains. Exact flight details are shared with families well ahead of departure.
What are meals and accommodations like on this trip?
In Blanes we stay at a hotel right on the beach, five minutes from the tennis club. In Zeist, we stay at a local hotel with spacious rooms (hard to find in Europe!) close to the center of town. In the Alps, we also stay right at a comfortable hotel in a peaceful alpine town. Players always have their own bed and only room with teammates of the same gender.
Breakfast and dinner are included daily (aside from travel days). Breakfast is usually at the hotel or a nearby cafe, and dinner is either at the hotel, at a restaurant with the full group, or in smaller groups with coaches. We are happy to accommodate allergies and dietary needs — just flag them on your application.
Will we really get to see pro players?
Yes. We spend a day at the ATP Swiss Open in Gstaad, a small ATP 250 that attracts top players. In the past, we've had the chance to meet, chat with, and get photos with Casper Ruud and Matteo Berrettini. We've also gotten to watch Stan Wawrinka, Alexander Bublik, and plenty of other top players at this intimate event.
What does a typical day look like between practice, tournaments, and sightseeing?
It varies by week. During tournament stretches in Blanes and Zeist, days center around matches and practice at the local club, with time to connect with the local players — in Spain that often means tennis, soccer, and the club pool.
Every stop also builds in time to explore: La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, the canals of Amsterdam, and day trips to the mountain towns of Chamonix and Verbier, and swimming in alpine lakes.
What are Atlas Tennis's policies on phones and staying in touch?
Players can use their phones to stay in touch with family — most US carriers work easily overseas, and WiFi is available at clubs, accommodations, and most places we visit. Our coaches and directors are always reachable if a question or concern comes up. The only time we ask players not to use their phones is when we are on court, walking somewhere, or during meals.
How does Atlas Tennis handle safety across three countries?
Safety is our top priority on every leg of the trip. We only travel to well-established, safe destinations, staff every trip with at least one male and one female coach who are present 24/7, and stay in close contact with trusted local hosts at each stop.
If a player gets sick or hurt, we never hesitate to seek out medical attention in any country, whether at a hospital, doctor's office, or pharmacy.
What is the application process, and how do I lock in a spot?
If you are ready to apply, please submit our Player Application. From there, we'll review everything, speak with the player references, and then follow up with next steps (usually within a few days) to lock in the spot with a deposit.
