Barcelona, Spain
Spain has become one of our most popular spring break spots among teams. We took the Brunswick School boys’ tennis team there in 2025 and a private high school from Toronto in 2026 for a week of clay court tennis training, padel, paella-making classes, walking tours, beach time, and more as they prepared for their spring season!

Planning the Journey — Good Things to Know
Prepare like a Pro
Team Size & Age
The group is always small — no more than 16 players total. Players are between 14 and 18 years old.
Coaches
Our staff are mainly current or former college coaches, and they bring a wealth of tennis, travel, and team-building knowledge and experience.
Training & Tournaments
Two tournaments on red clay — a Catalan Tennis Federation event in Blanes and the Shot Zeist tournament in the Netherlands, where draws are built by playing level so matches stay competitive. Daily training at local clubs in between.
Meet Pro Players
We spend a day at the ATP Swiss Open in Gstaad. Past groups have watched Berrettini, Tsitsipas, Wawrinka, and Gasquet, and have met players in person.
Travel
We use planes, trains, buses, and vans to get around. And of course, some walking around cities, too.
Meals
We provide a nutritious breakfast and dinner for players. Lunch and select meals are not included in the trip cost.
Sightseeing
La Sagrada Familia and Las Ramblas in Barcelona, the canals and Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, the college town of Utrecht, and swimming in the lakes of the Swiss Alps.
Accommodations
A hotel on the beach in Blanes, a local hotel in Zeist with unusually large rooms, and comfortable lodging in the Alps. Players always have their own bed.
Your Questions
Answered
Three weeks. Three countries. Two tournaments on red clay and a week of tennis in the Alps.
We know sending your child to Europe for three weeks is a big decision. From how much tennis they will play to where they will stay, how they will travel, and how we keep players safe, we have answered the questions families ask most.

How competitive is this trip? What level of tennis do I need?
The Signature Summer Trip is open to all levels. Both tournaments build their draws by playing level, so players are matched against similar competition rather than thrown into an open draw. In 2024 almost every player on the trip ended up in at least one close match. If you are unsure whether your level is the right fit, reach out to Ben and talk it through.
What is included in the $10,999 price — and what is not?
The price covers all accommodations, transportation within Europe, court and tournament fees, coaching, breakfasts and dinners (except on select travel days), sightseeing, and 24/7 staff supervision.
Not included: flights to and from Europe, daily lunch, souvenirs, passport and visa fees, laundry, and any optional extras outside the planned itinerary.
What do I need to know about traveling to and from Europe?
The trip departs from and returns to New York, with Atlas coaches on board. Players also have the option to meet us directly in Europe. We fly into Barcelona and home from Geneva, and we handle and book all transportation once in Europe — flights, vans, and trains. Exact flight details are shared with families well ahead of departure.
What are meals and accommodations like on this trip?
In Blanes we stay at a hotel right on the beach, five minutes from the club. In Zeist we stay at a local hotel with some of the biggest rooms you will see in Europe, minutes from the center of town. In the Alps we stay close to the courts. Players always have their own bed and only room with teammates of the same gender.
Breakfast and dinner are included daily (aside from travel days). We are happy to accommodate allergies and dietary needs — just flag them on your application.
Will we really get to see pro players?
Yes. We spend a day at the ATP Swiss Open in Gstaad. In 2024 our group watched Berrettini, Tsitsipas, Wawrinka, and Gasquet, and got pictures with Berrettini. While nothing is guaranteed, our connections in the pro tennis world make these moments a real possibility.
What does a typical day look like between practice, tournaments, and sightseeing?
It varies by week. During tournament stretches in Blanes and Zeist, days center around matches and practice at the local club, with time to connect with the local players — in Spain that often means tennis, soccer, and the club pool.
Every stop also builds in time to explore: Barcelona, the canals of Amsterdam, the town of Utrecht, day trips to Chamonix and Verbier, and swimming in Lake Geneva.
What are Atlas Tennis's policies on phones and staying in touch?
Players can use their phones to stay in touch with family — most US carriers work easily overseas, and WiFi is available at clubs, accommodations, and most places we visit. Our coaches and directors are always reachable if a question or concern comes up.
How does Atlas Tennis handle safety across three countries?
Safety is our top priority on every leg of the trip. We only travel to well-established, safe destinations, staff every trip with at least one male and one female coach who are present 24/7, and stay in close contact with trusted local hosts at each stop.
If a player gets sick or hurt, we will get them care right away and stay with them the entire time.
What is the application process, and how do I lock in a spot?
Start with our interest form — from there, we will follow up with next steps, including references and a conversation with our team to make sure this trip is the right fit. This is our most popular trip and it fills up early, so we would recommend applying as soon as you can.
