California Circuit Trip
Three weeks, three regions, and a tournament in every stop. Experience one of the USA's best tennis states in the Bay Area, Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego, with daily training run by our Atlas coaches, arranged match play with local players, and UTR tournaments matched to each player's level.
Between matches, we soak up everything California has to offer: check out college campuses like UCLA and Stanford, explore iconic cities and coastlines, and enjoy the sunshine and long summer days. We'll train at some of the state's best tennis facilities, including Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, home of the USTA Girls 18s and 16s National Championships.
It's a summer of great tennis, new places, and teammates who become friends, from the hills of San Francisco to the beaches of Southern California.

Three USTA / UTR tournaments on hard courts, plus extra matches when possible. Compete against top local California talent. Daily training at local clubs and courts in between.
Meet College Programs
Tour college campuses and tennis facilities including getting the chance to connect and learn more from college coaches at USC, UCLA, and Stanford.
Travel
We use planes, trains, buses, and vans to get around. And of course, some walking around cities, too.
Meals
Breakfast and dinner are included in the trip cost. Lunch and additional snacks are at the players' expense, to allow for additional flexibility.
Sightseeing
Golden Gate Park and Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, Laguna Beach and the Hollywood Sign at Griffith Park in Los Angeles, and Balboa Park, Coronado Island, and the cliffs of Torrey Pines in San Diego.

We stay at safe, clean, comfortable hotels (think Homewood or Embassy Suites), centrally located to the tennis and our off-court activities. Rooms are always single-gender.
Your Questions
Answered
Three weeks in arguably the best tennis state in the country. For players looking to push themselves, there's no better place.
We know sending your child to California for three weeks is a big decision. From how much tennis they will play to where they will stay, how they will travel, and how we keep players safe, we have answered the questions families ask most.

How competitive is this trip? What level of tennis do I need?
The California Circuit Trip is open to all levels. We'll organize our practices and tournament entries based on level, so all players have the chance to be on court with others at their level. Like all of our trips, at least some competitive experience is highly recommended, but the most important thing is not your level, but if you are ready to work hard each day to improve your game through training and competition. In our experience, players with this approach get the most out of the trip.
If you are unsure whether your level is the right fit, reach out to the Atlas Tennis team and talk it through.
What is included in the price, and what is not?
The price covers all accommodations, transportation within California, court and tournament fees, coaching, breakfasts and dinners (except on select travel days), sightseeing, and 24/7 staff supervision.
Not included: flights to and from California, daily lunch, souvenirs, laundry, and any optional extras outside the planned itinerary.
What do I need to know about traveling to and from California?
The trip departs from and returns to New York, with Atlas coaches on board. Players also have the option to meet us directly in California at the airport, ideally on flights that land around the same time as the group. We handle all transportation once in California — flights, vans, and trains. Exact flight details are shared with families well ahead of departure.
What are meals and accommodations like on this trip?
In California, we stay at safe, clean, comfortable hotels centrally located to the tennis courts, tournaments and our planned off-court activities. Examples of the types of hotels we stay at are Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites, and Hampton Inn & Suites. Players always have their own bed and only room with teammates of the same gender.
Breakfast and dinner are included daily. Breakfast is typically at the hotel, and for dinner we'll usually either have team meals at restaurants or break off into smaller groups with our coaches. We are happy to accommodate allergies and dietary needs — just flag them on your application.
Will we really get to tour college campuses and their tennis facilities?
Yes, we will have time to check out, and potentially even play, on iconic campuses like Stanford, UCLA, and USC. If schedules permit, our connections in the college tennis world may allow us meet and chat with college coaches at these programs as well.
What does a typical day look like between practice, tournaments, and sightseeing?
It varies by week. During tournament stretches in California, days center around matches and practice at the local courts, with time to connect with the Atlas team and local players.
Every stop also builds in time to explore: California beaches , iconic landmarks, college campuses and tennis facilities, pictureseque piers and mountainous landscapes along with theme parks and professional sporting events.
What are Atlas Tennis's policies on phones and staying in touch?
Players can use their phones to stay in touch with family. Our coaches and directors are always reachable if a question or concern comes up. The only time we ask players not to use their phones are when we are on court, walking somewhere, or during meals.
How does Atlas Tennis handle safety across three cities in California?
Safety is our top priority. We only travel to well-established, safe destinations, staff every trip with at least one male and one female coach who are present 24/7, and stay in close contact with trusted local hosts at each stop.
If a player gets sick or hurt, we never hesitate to seek out the appropriate medical care at a hospital or doctor's office as necessary.
What is the application process, and how do I lock in a spot?
If you are ready to apply, please submit our Player Application. From there, we'll review everything, speak with the player references, and then follow up with next steps (usually within a few days) to lock in the spot with a deposit.
